Today, I am honored and delighted to attend this important gathering to launch and disseminate the“Cambodia Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025”(IDP), jointly organized by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC). Dear Participants!

Today, it is my honor and pleasure to participate in the Closing of the 2013-2014 Stocktaking and 2014-2015 Direction Setting Conference of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport. At the outset, I would like to congratulate on the best result of the conference, considered as an important annual event of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS).  Indeed, through this conference, we are able to see not only a proud result that the management and all education officials have achieved, but also an opportunity for all stakeholders to understand and further participate in implementing comprehensive reform program of education sector in the spirit of ensuring our national education sector to be more developed responding to new trends of Cambodia’s Socio-economic situation and global trends.

Today, it is my great honor and pleasure to attend the Launching of the National Literacy Campaign 2015.  On behalf of the Royal Government and my own behalf, I would like to congratulate and highly appreciate the efforts made by the management of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and its officials nationwide, UNESCO as well as development partners who have unanimously consented to launch this National Literacy Campaign 2015 today. This is an important task for us all to continue paying high attention constantly.

Remarks at the National Dissemination Conference on the Three Fundamental Laws related to the Judicial Branch

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,
All participants!

Today, I am honored and delighted to participate in the opening of the national dissemination conference on the three fundamental laws related to the judiciary branch, viz. Law on the Statute of Judges and Prosecutors, Law on the Organization of the Court Organs and Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Supreme Council of Magistracy, organized by the Ministry of Justice with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaftfür Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Overall, today’s conference reflects the Royal Government’s new achievement in the legal and judicial sector in addition to achievements during the previous Legislature such as Criminal Code, Code for Criminal Procedures, Civil Code, Code for Civil Procedures and other laws.

It is my great pleasure today to preside over the opening of the 2014 Cambodia Outlook Conference on the very timely theme of “Cambodia the Next Five Years – Reform and Competitiveness in an Integrated Region”. This is the eighth occasion on which I have had the pleasure of delivering the opening keynote address in this outlook conference. I wish to once again congratulate CDRI and ANZ Royal Bank on their initiative in hosting this important annual conference, which brings together officials from the Royal Government, and senior representatives of the private sector, the research community, non-government organisations, and international development partners to consider Cambodia’s achievements, the challenges we face, and how we can work together to overcome those challenges for the benefit of our nation.
