My wife and I are so happy to participate with our people here for the inauguration of the Royal Ratanak Hospital which is the best equipped hospital in Cambodia. According to Chumteav Tao Toeun Tia Banh, it has developed from a clinic to a hospital and the date on which it was built was March 08, 2004 – the International Women’s Day. It has a slose cooperation with the Scientific Centre of Duset in Bangkok. Once again I am glad that this hospital will provide check-up and treatment on the spot for diseases that we before have to go abroad.

I am so glad that I could be present today with all of 955 graduates and to put into use the six-classroom building built with non-interested aid from the Government of the Republic of France. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciations to the efforts made and the success scored by the graduates with endless supports of their families and faculties involved. My wife and I feel grateful to all of our graduates who picked up agriculture as their major in life and also because it is the prioritized sector for the country economic growth.

Selected Comments at the Graduation Ceremony of Students at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP)

My wife and I are so glad to join with all of the 1,448 graduates, in the presence of diplomats from friendly countries, for diploma bestowment ceremony, after my suggestion to reschedule the previously proposed date to today. It is quite simple for the understanding on the rescheduling since we had to host the visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia of the newly elect Prime Minister HE Samak Sundaravej of the Kingdom of Thailand. I think it is a fruitful visit for the benefit of the two countries.

Selected Comments at Rehabilitation Project of the Cambodian Railway between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh and Poi Pet, Banteay Mean Chey province

I am so glad to join with all of you and HE Harahiko Kuroda, President of the Asian Development bank (ADB) in this official and joyful event today to rehabilitate the Cambodian two direction Railways – Phnom Penh – Sihanoukville, which is to the south-west, and Phnom Penh – Poi Pet, which is to the northwest of Cambodia. It is indeed a great day after the tragedy in 1970s. It has been a long time that the two lines of Cambodian railways have not been an interest for anyone, during which period the Cambodian seaports, airports, rubber plantations and other companies like Telecom have all been attracting investors.
