Selected Impromptu Comments at the Groundbreaking Ceremony to Build the National Road 58 from Poi Pet in Banteay Meanjei to Samraong City in Uddar Meanjei

I am so happy to return to this province for the groundbreaking ceremony to build the 174 Km National Road 58. If I am not mistaken, last year, with HE Bu Jianguo, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, I came to the province of Banteay Meanjei on March 10, 2014 to put into official use the National Road 59 linking the National Road 5 to the province of Pailin. This means that a year ago we put into official use a 100 Km road and now we are building another 174 Km road today. I am so proud of the development in the Kingdom of Cambodia despites some obstacles. It is normal for a country in development that there are some peculiar issues. I am sure the Cambodian people will come up with judgment of what has been happening.

I have a great pleasure to be able to come and join with the Buddhist monks, Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, the Ambassador and our people to put into official use the National Road 57B that is running 176 Kilometers long in the Cambodian territory. Yesterday I had a concern if I could make a journey this far or not since I had a fever and I am still having some of it now. It all started on last Sunday but I still went to preside over the celebration of the Cultural Day event. The night of Monday, the fever was terrible. On the following Tuesday, I had a meeting from 8 am through to 12:30 pm. The fever got worse. I still have one more event to take part for the graduation and diploma presenting ceremony of the

Selected Comments at Rehabilitation Project of the Cambodian Railway between Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh and Poi Pet, Banteay Mean Chey province

I am so glad to join with all of you and HE Harahiko Kuroda, President of the Asian Development bank (ADB) in this official and joyful event today to rehabilitate the Cambodian two direction Railways – Phnom Penh – Sihanoukville, which is to the south-west, and Phnom Penh – Poi Pet, which is to the northwest of Cambodia. It is indeed a great day after the tragedy in 1970s. It has been a long time that the two lines of Cambodian railways have not been an interest for anyone, during which period the Cambodian seaports, airports, rubber plantations and other companies like Telecom have all been attracting investors.
