Head of the Royal Government of Cambodia once again called on all authorities to facilitate all political parties to implement their political activities and race in the July’s elections.
His remark was made on Monday morning during co-presiding with Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia Hidehisa Horinouchi over the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the construction of National Road No. 5, with the length of 135 km, from Prek Kdam-Kandal to Thlea Ma’am-Pursat under a grant from the Government of Japan.
Following cases of authorities in provinces blocked the activities of local political parties, the premier urged that all local authorities must treat political parties without discrimination.
He also clarified that every party has the right to discuss with their members and supporters from these days onward.
The National Assembly 6th mandate election will be held on July 29, 2018. So far, 20 parties have registered to race in the election. The NEC has officially recognized five parties and is reviewing the applications of the other 15.
